Moving Bodies
Yoga
Brynn began studying yoga at the age of 14 and within four years was ready to deepen her practice. At 18 she pursued yoga more rigorously, completing Erich Schiffman's teacher certification program at the Sacred Movement Center for Yoga and Healing in Santa Monica, CA. Since then she has taught hatha and restorative yoga in California and New York and found a niche teaching yoga for people struggling with fibromyalgia and actors looking to deepen their awareness of breath for more vocal flexibility. Although she offers her own unique style, her practice is deeply guided by that of her yoga guru, Jill Simonton.
In 2005, Brynn furthered her practice by studying the ancient language Sanskrit at the University of California, Berkeley and was subsequently invited to teach yoga there, and at Mills College in Oakland, CA. Since then she has taught at Cal State University, Northridge (CSUN), Brooklyn College, Angel City Yoga in Studio City, CA and Third Root Yoga in Brooklyn, NY.
Pilates
Brynn received her Pilates mat certification from Linda Farrell of LindaFit Pilates in New York City. Since then she has taught privately in New York and Los Angeles. In addition to privates she has taught at the University of California, Los Angeles, Chapman University, and the American Musical and Dramatic Academy (AMDA), catering to dancers and movers of every level. Brynn also understands the importance of moving EVERY body: she frequently teaches at the corporate level, bringing her patience, passion, and knowledge of the body to the office.
