This new collection of essays opens up exciting possibilities at the intersection of performance and text studies by illustrating the influence text and media have on the body, and vice versa. I have included essays from a wide range of dance disciplines including, but not limited to, ballet, modern, post-modern, hiphop, butoh, and flamenco.. Together these chapters focus on movement as a meaning-making process.
